Congratulations, you made it to our first blog post, we've rolled out the red carpet just for you! I hope you're as excited to learn about us, as we are to tell our story. Simply Water Heaters wasn't launched because we have an incredible love for water heaters, that would be weird and unhealthy. We launched this company because buying a water heater is about as much fun as going to the dentist (my apologies to all the dentists out there, you're all great people). If you've needed to shop for a water heater recently, you know that there are many models, options, prices, and places to consider. Besides all the options, it's all very complicated to maneuver. We have simplified many of the issues surrounding the water heater buying process so it's easier for you. You can decide if we've made it more fun, but we promise it will be more simple. In the next few paragraphs, we will explain a bit about ourselves, what makes us different, and why. Enjoy the blog!
Making a water heater purchase isn't like buying a shirt, a car, or a computer. It's about the least exciting and sexy purchase you'll make. In fact, I doubt you and your friends sit in your basement gathered around your water heater each weekend just for fun. You probably don't take selfies with your water heater and post them on social for everyone to see all its glory. Your water heater sits in your basement and makes cold water hot. You probably don't care about what color it is, or who makes it, as long as it works and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Thankfully, we have done all this research for you, on the weekends, sitting around our water heater, taking selfies so you don't have to.
Stay with us on this next one so buckle up, it will make sense by the end. It's the Lenten season right now and everyone is offering a fish sandwich. McDonald's, Burger King, Arby's (which normally has the meats, now has the fish...I guess) and every other fast food place has some form of a fish sandwich. None of these places are built around the fish sandwich, they just happen to offer it. So if you find yourself in the middle of the desert and there's an Arby's, you and your Pescatarian friend can happily eat together. You can enjoy that "big beef and cheddar" while they enjoy the Lenten fish sandwich. If you and your friend weren't in the desert at Arby's, you were just looking for a good fish sandwich you certainly wouldn't be at an Arby's (sorry Arby's your other sandwiches are great). Instead, your Pescatarian friend would most certainly be taking you to a great seafood place. Why? Because no one does seafood better than a great seafood place. Just like Arby's does "the meats" better than that seafood place. Ok, we're bringing it home now so get ready... We are like the seafood place. Sure, other folks install water heaters along with many other things they offer. Some places do HVAC, replace toilets, and clean out a nasty clogged sewer. I'm sure they do an ok job installing water heaters between those other jobs. However, we specialize in water heaters and that's all we do, and what we focus on.
Our tagline is "experts making it simple." What does that mean? It means that we (the owners) are experts in the home improvement, and customer service industry, 50+ combined years (yep, we are old-ish and have the grey hair to prove it). We are experts at solving problems and creating solutions. Are we (the owners) plumbing experts, nope. Do we have experts in plumbing installing our water heaters? Absolutely! We believe that surrounding yourself with great people and people who fill in the gaps where our experience lacks, and visa-versa makes a really well-rounded team. Our experience is solving problems, attention to detail, treating customers like we want to be treated, leading people, and running a business. Plus we have spent many months training, getting certifications, and researching water heaters so we could be the experts.
Transparency is very important to us, we'll use the previous paragraph as evidence. We'd rather be upfront so you can make an informed decision rather than string you along and waste everyone's time. We think you'll love us, but maybe we aren't what you're looking for, no problem! We do take no for an answer and won't pressure you into a decision you may not be ready to make. The bottom line is that we respect you and your decisions.
